Getting People Signed Up

This is a very logical first step, but how do you do it?

Your text message marketing journey starts here signing up with Titanly. So, you might be asking yourself, “Ok, I’ve signed up for text marketing, now what?”

This is something we want to make easy for you. All software can only be as good as how much you use it. This blog, our tutorials and the related content in the sidebar are designed to help you get the most out of Titanly. So let’s dive in.

1. QR Codes

One of the easiest ways to get people signed up is to use our QR code generator. This works best when you have a physical location. QR codes can be placed on window stickers, printed material and placed next to the register. Offering your customers a discount for signing up is the surest way to make sure they do. If you don’t have a physical location, you can still use the QR feature for sign ups or just send your customers a keyword to sign up. Instruct any of your employees who interact with customers to invite each customer to sign up. A suggestion from an employee at the register will go a lot further than just putting out a few signs.

2. Convert Your Current Customers

Send the opportunity to sign up through all your communications channels. Do you have a website, an email list, social media channels? A great way to add customers to your SMS list is to send a keyword for sign up, using all the ways you already talk to them. Be sure to include a discount to incentivise them to subscribe. Remember, though, you also have other incentives. Briefly tell your customers that they can get appointment reminders, access to more discounts or connect to your customer service. All of these things will help build your text marketing list.

3. Signup All New Customers

Focus on sign up for all new customers. Make sure your staff knows that every new customer should be offered the ability to join your SMS group. Make sure they are familiar with the most compelling talking points for sign ups and have a QR code or keyword handy.

4. Keep At It

Don’t get discouraged! You are building a powerful marketing tool at your disposal. You are also saving your business time and money in the long run. Getting customers signed up may seem like a daunting task at times but your efforts will add up quickly, connecting you to your customer like never before.

What if I already have my customers phone numbers?

You may already have a database with your customers’ contact info. This is a great resource, however, customers have to willingly and knowingly sign up for an automated text service, you can’t just send out your first text assuming they want to participate. There are some ways you can use phone numbers to help people sign up. If you are using their phone number anyway to remind them of an appointment, tell them their product/service is ready to be picked up or send them tracking information on something that they ordered; you can add the option for them to sign up for automatic alerts and even tell them you’re switching to an automated system so if they want to continue to get reminders etc, they need to sign up using the keyword.

Start with the Most Useful Feature

Another easy way to get started is to start by using the most useful feature to your company and expand from there. Are you most excited about automating your appointment reminders, sending promotions to customers, or freeing up your staff from long phone calls by transitioning your customer service to text? Whatever the biggest value add to your business, start there. You can spend your first 1-3 months getting to know the system and perfecting your use of the most valuable feature. From there, you can set aside a little time and energy to delve into the next feature. You don’t need to swallow the whole apple at once. Trust us, we designed Titanly with so many great features. One bite at a time will help you build a compelling digital marketing connection that works for your business.

Digitize What You Already Do

Are you already blasting promotion codes through your social media channels, sending email appointment reminders, or hanging new product banners in your store? All of these things can be done through Titanly instead of or along with your current method. Another easy way of getting started is to assess what you’re already doing and add the power of text message marketing to the mix.

Best of luck. We know you’ve made a great investment in the future of your business through Titanly and we are excited to see you grow. For more helpful suggestions on getting started, check out our Related Content in the sidebar.
